Maintain and operate privacy-focused mail infrastructure following migration from Cove.cx. Migrated services to hardened bare-metal infrastructure with minimal downtime and no data loss, maintain high-availability email systems with redundant failover, and secure public-facing services with firewalling, intrusion detection, and access controls. Improved spam mitigation using SPF/DKIM/DMARC enforcement, DNSBL filtering, and rate limiting.
Built and operated a privacy-focused email hosting platform using Postfix, Dovecot, and Roundcube. Managed Linux VPS infrastructure including web, database, and mail services, maintained high availability through proactive monitoring and encrypted backups, implemented DNSSEC, DANE/TLSA, and MTA-STS, and reduced inbound spam with authentication enforcement and connection controls.
Administered Linux-based multiplayer game infrastructure supporting 100+ concurrent users. Improved service stability and latency through server optimisation and network tuning, mitigated DDoS attacks with firewall rules and rate limiting, and managed MySQL databases with automated backup systems to maintain data integrity.
Built and maintained a self-hosted homelab using Docker and bare-metal Linux, deploying Vaultwarden, Pi-hole, Cloudflare Tunnel, and Watchtower. Operated a self-hosted Monero node with Tor-based remote access and hardened network configuration, with ongoing system maintenance through patching, SSH key authentication, Fail2ban, and segmented network access.
